Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the WindSensei website and apps. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use WindSensei.

1. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and give accurate information when you sign up. You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings.

2. What you post

Some things you add are visible to other people: your profile name, nickname and photo, sessions you share with followers, gear you list for sale, and messages you send to sellers. You keep ownership of them, and you give us permission to store and show them to the people you share them with so WindSensei can work.

3. No objectionable content or abusive users

WindSensei has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post or send anything that is:

  • harassing, threatening, hateful or discriminatory;
  • sexually explicit, violent or otherwise offensive;
  • spam, a scam, or misleading about gear you are selling;
  • impersonating someone else;
  • illegal, or infringing someone else's rights.

We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close the account that posted it, without notice.

4. Reporting and blocking

You can report a user from their profile in the app, and block them so neither of you can find, follow or message the other. Reports come straight to us, and we review them within 24 hours.

5. Forecasts are guidance only

Forecasts, observations and session ratings come from weather models and third-party stations and can be wrong. Wind sports are dangerous: always check conditions yourself and decide for yourself whether it is safe to go out. WindSensei is not responsible for decisions you make based on it.

6. Buying and selling gear

Gear listings are between buyers and sellers. WindSensei does not take part in sales, handle payments, or guarantee any listing.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we will let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use WindSensei after a change means you accept the updated terms.
